Purchasing

As signs are purchased, they are entered into the system as inventory.

In the Sign Shop

In the sign shop, bar codes are placed on each sign and the barcode is entered into the system, thereby forever tying that sign with that bar code.

In the Field

In the field, barcodes are assigned to remove signs from inventory. They are assigned a GPS coordinate and are linked to a signpost.
The following actions can be taken in the field:
  1. Adding a new Sign Post
  2. Adding a new Sign
  3. Removing a sign
  4. Adding a Maintenance record to a sign or post
  5. Executing a drive-by inspection of signs along a road
  6. Retrieve sign by either GPS proximity or scanning barcode

Reporting

You are able to view a number of reports providing in-depth visibility to signs in the field, signs retired or sold to other jurisdictions, signs needing attention, and signs that are overdue for replacement.

Administration and Configuration

You have the ability to administer, configure, and customize the application.

  1. Settings for defaults such as jurisdiction, map center, and what constitutes an overdue sign
  2. Managing Users
  3. Configuring lookup data such as: Manufacturers, sign types, sheeting, suppliers, customers, and maintenance types
